HYDRAULIC HOSES, FITTINGS, ADAPTORS, TUBES, MACHINES AND FLUID POWER COMPONENTS

HOSE ASSEMBLY

PREPARATION OF THE ASSEMBLED HOSE

Notes for installation

Connectors must be examined to ensure thread form or sealing face have no visable defects :
• The cone face is not damaged, scored or has a poor surface finish
• The fitting bore is concentric.
• The thread and o’ring are not damaged.
• The flange mating face is flat, clean & not damaged.
• The thread is not damaged.
• All mating surfaces are clean.

Important:

- The hose connector must be offered up to the mating union squarely.
- Cross threading and cone face mis-alignment will result in leakage.

Il Raccordatore

Here below some indication on the correct routing in order to increase hose service life.
Please refer to SAE J1273 and ISO /TR 17165-2 indications. Clean the assembled hose with appropriate “cleaning pigs” and sponges, it is also possible to use flushing benches to maximize the level of cleanliness.

Minimum bend radius

Always consider the recommended minimum bend radius and provide enough hose length so that the hose is not pulled or stressed.
Installation with a tighter bend will reduce hose life.

Use proper adapters and hose fitting termination, in order to avoid tight Bend:

A too tight bend may kink the hose, restrict or stop the fluid flow, or damage the hose reinforcement:
